    As someone who lives in SC, I can promise you that many (I wish I could say most) people here do not lack the skills or knowledge to respond to such questions. But I also talk to people daily just like her so it is like playing a game called "interpret this." But there are people like her everywhere - they just usually end up on tv when the stereotype fits. Cool blog.
